01
Start with three actions
- Open a book and choose Read the book. Reading and available PDFs do not require an account.
- Create a free account to keep your place, annotations and reflections.
- Select a short passage → Add to outline. Open Book outline: the quotation and source link are already there.
02
What an account offers and how to register
Your account keeps your work across visits and devices: your shelf, favorites, collections, bookmarks, highlights, outlines, notes and selected conversations. These records are not published in the library. The reader account is free; AI allowances are separate.
- My account → Create a free account. If you already use the Preacher’s Workshop, sign in with the same username and password.
- Choose a username: 3–40 Latin letters, digits, dots, hyphens or underscores, beginning with a letter or digit. Use a passphrase of at least 14 characters. No email is required.
- Complete the human check and registration. Choose Download code and keep your recovery code somewhere safe.
03
Find a book, read and download a PDF
Choose a collection in the catalogue or open Library search. Enter a word, phrase or verse reference, then narrow Search in and Text language. Biblical quotations also have a dedicated Scripture search.
Book cards offer reading, Open / download PDF and discussion with Companion. Use the reader’s contents and A− / A+ controls. If a PDF opens in the browser, save it with the viewer’s download button.
Navigation varies by edition. Personal underlines and highlights belong to the website reader; they do not change the original downloaded book PDF.

Shelf, favorites, collections and bookmarks
My shelf and History help you return to opened materials: choose Continue →. Russian and English editions keep separate positions. Supported audio and video players also remember your place; playback starts only when you choose it.
- ☆ Favorite saves a material to Favorites; Bookmark this place saves a particular position.
- To group materials, open Collections → New collection. On a saved item choose Add to collection, select the collections and save.
- Use Remove from list or Remove from history to tidy your shelf. Notes and highlights remain. Opening a material again returns its card.
05
Underline and highlight
- Sign in, open a book and select a phrase using your device’s normal text selection. Choose a short passage rather than a whole chapter.
- In the selection toolbar choose a color and Underline or Highlight.
- Select a saved annotation in the book to open its actions: view this book’s highlights, add the quotation to its outline or remove the annotation.
Annotations are private. Selecting or highlighting text does not automatically add it to an outline; use the separate command.

Build a book outline
- Select a passage → Add to outline. The quotation and its source are included automatically.
- Open Book outline in the reader, or choose a book under Outlines in your account.
- Add a Comment to a quotation or choose Add your own note. Press Save in the entry editor.
- Use ↑ Move up / ↓ Move down and Add note after this to arrange your thoughts. Some controls are under Actions. Go to this passage returns to the source.
For example, save a quotation about forgiveness, add your question below it, then add another quotation and your conclusion. Your outline brings the book and your reflections together while keeping them distinct.
Comments and your own outline entries require the Save button. Outlines created in the older format remain under Notes.

Move several highlights into an outline
- Open Highlights and choose a book. Use Find a book if needed.
- Select individual entries or choose Select all highlights in this book, which includes every page of the list. Select this page selects only the current page.
- Choose Add selected to outline. Existing excerpts are not duplicated, and comments are retained.
Search within this book searches its saved highlights or outline, not the complete book text. Highlights can be sorted by book order or newest first.

Free-form notes, search and trash
For independent reflections, open Notes → New note / notebook, add a title and write in My notes. These notes autosave after typing; there is also a Save button. Wait for Saved to your account before closing.
Choosing Note on a selected passage places the quotation above My thoughts. Use Search my saved work in your account to find records. Items moved to trash can be recovered through Trash → Restore.

Download your work and print
Choose PDF, DOCX (Word) or TXT. In an outline, downloading includes the entire book outline across all pages. In Highlights, it includes the selected highlights. In ordinary account lists, select cards first: selecting a page includes only that page.
Exports include quotations and your comments, the book title, its author when known, the location when available and a source link. To print, download the PDF and print it normally. Exporting your own records does not use AI requests.

Discuss and save a conversation
- Choose Discuss this book with Companion, or select a passage → Discuss. Review the prepared question in Companion and press Ask.
- To keep one answer, choose Save reply to notes. For the whole conversation choose Save conversation.
- Once saving is enabled, later messages are saved too. Wait for Conversation saved; use Save now if needed.
- Return through Conversations → Continue conversation, including on another device after signing in.
Before you enable saving, the conversation is not kept in your account and may disappear on refresh. Stop saving does not delete the part already saved. Companion has allowances; current terms appear in its interface. Check important answers and citations against their sources.

Profile, settings and account recovery
In Profile you can add your name, city, church, tradition and ministry. Fields are optional; the profile is shared with the Workshop. Settings controls language, text size, background, audio speed, resuming your saved position and opening your latest material after sign-in.
Forgot your password? Choose Sign in → Forgot password?, then enter your username, recovery code and a new passphrase. There is no email recovery. After changing or recovering your password, keep the new recovery code in place of the old one.
Ambassador is a separate program for supporting the project. It is not required for reading or keeping personal notes.
